かとろーる

Flutist & Music Artist

A flutist who shares the beauty of the flute across genres — from classical to game and anime music.

Began playing the flute at the age of 11. After studying in the music course of Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya High School, she graduated from Osaka Kyoiku University (Music Course, Department of Liberal Arts), performing in the university’s graduation concert, and obtained teaching licenses in music for junior high and high school. In 2021 she travelled alone to Germany for a short-term study of music and the German language, and holds the intermediate-level Goethe-Zertifikat B1. In Foligno, Italy, she attended a master class with Davide Formisano and performed in the closing concert.

In 2020, inspired by her love of anime and games, she began posting cosplay flute performances on YouTube as “KATOROLL.” In 2023 she founded the Touhou doujin music circle Fuemaki Monogatari, releasing CDs and performing live. She has appeared at Niconico Chokaigi and Touhou Project events across Japan, and since 2024 has been principal flutist of the Ikebukuro Animation Philharmonic. Since 2026 she has also been a member of OTO NO KOMACHI, a violin, flute and piano unit, appearing at official anime events.

With a tone grounded in classical training and a deep respect for the world of each work, she performs live at hotels, corporate events, commercial venues, parties, senior care facilities, community events and schools. Drawing on her teaching background, she also offers engaging spoken introductions, flute lessons and programs for children — tailoring repertoire and line-up to every venue and audience.
